- faceclaims? i dont really care for them, realistic, toon, anime or none it doesnt make a difference! currently, Victor doesnt have a faceclaim and likely wont ever get an official one (and no, i likely wont be using Victor from Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein as a faceclaim, but maybe just occasionally as a visual!) i just use whatever actor and painting i can from pinterest where the vibes give Victor without too many identifying features being seen...lol, but if you are worried over the style of icon, they look like THIS. one of these days i'll maybe make animated versions of them <3──‧⁺⋆♱OOC COMMUNICATION IS REQUIRED ;
- as said, i love to plot, plotting is required: and therefore OOC communication is as well! not constant, but comfortable and occasional at the very least! being dry is a no no here.

PERSONALITY ;

──‧⁺⋆♱ Moody, obsessive, and dramatic to the point of parody. He’s a science-obsessed workaholic who’ll forget you exist the moment he starts a new experiment. Snarky, gloomy, and constantly on edge, he flips between burnout and hyperfocus like it’s an Olympic sport.Hotheaded and quick to snap, but just as quick to geek out over anything involving life, death, or science and biology. Acts like a genius with all the answers, but underneath the ego is a bundle of anxiety and grief he refuses to unpack. "Accidentally" rude, deeply in denial, and a hypocrite.A swirling cocktail of ADHD, autism, BPD, OCD, and POTS. A mess. Occasionally silly, usually intense, overall? Not exactly a role model.

LOOKS ;

──‧⁺⋆♱ Wavy black hair, usually messy and falling in his face out of a low ponytail — later in life, expect a white streak courtesy of chronic stress and regret. Eyes dark, tired, and heavy-lidded, like he hasn’t slept properly since the Enlightenment. Skin tone? Somewhere between ghost and printer paper (Pantone 000C if we’re being exact). Tall, thin, and haunted looking.Always dressed in darker tones, era-appropriate but low-effort—coats buttoned wrong, collars wrinkled, perhaps a burn mark or two from a recent experiment. Looks like he got dressed in a hurry because he probably did. Occasionally wears small, silver oval glasses.

BACKSTORY ;

──‧⁺⋆♱ Born in Naples, Italy, to Swiss parents Alphonse Frankenstein and Caroline Beaufort, he was their eldest son. Six years later, his brother Ernest was born, followed by another brother William ten years after that.
──‧⁺⋆♱ From a young age, he developed a deep interest in understanding the world, and his first encounter with this quest was through old alchemy books in his father's library. When his father discovered this, he ridiculed him for not knowing that alchemy had long been disproven. This mockery shifted his focus towards chemistry, though he never abandoned his fascination with the alternative sciences.
──‧⁺⋆♱ Just as he was set to leave for university in Ingolstadt, Germany, his mother passed away. Instead of confronting his grief, he still traveled to Ingolstadt, immersing himself even more in his studies. This period of intense study turned into an obsession with death and restoring life.
──‧⁺⋆♱ Victor set out to do the impossible, but, to his suprise — the Creature came alive. Out of shock that what he'd done worked, he abandoned it. He was called back home, set to marry a childhood friend.
──‧⁺⋆♱ When refused again by Victor, the Creature struck, killing his brother. A maid was framed, Victor said nothing. After he kills Henry Clerval, Victor's lover, and on Victor's wedding night — the Creature kills his Fiancée too.
──‧⁺⋆♱ Victor swears vengeance, and runs to chase the Monster.

THE DIFFERENCES ;

──‧⁺⋆♱ while still the grim, negative, workaholic, obsessed mad scientist—i sometimes play him a tiny bit goofy. while angst still happens, i like my roleplays to include a bit of humor, and when it comes to staying book accurate, with Victor i am loosy-goosey!
──‧⁺⋆♱ instead of being completely self taught, he went to boarding school from ages 10-16, as was usual for boys of his era and class.
──‧⁺⋆♱ here we ignore the arranged marriage to his practically sister <3 no incest RP is taking place here no sir. In this AU, Elizabeth is only a family friend he is arranged to be married to, if it is mentioned in the verse.
──‧⁺⋆♱ i am also VERY inspired by the vibes of Fallen London when it comes to Victor. Fallen London AU, anyone...? anyone even know what that is, no...? okay...
